Special Events Coordinator (Full-Time)

  • Serves as the Special Events Coordinator, responsible for assisting a higher level employee or actions officer with the planning and executing of community special events that respond to the needs and interests of the military/civilian population.
  • Special events implemented include community wide events such as Yard Sales; 4th of July Celebration; Army Soldier Show; Comedy Clubs; etc.
  • Devises, improvises, and adapts activities to the wide range of participants interest and needs considering limitation of funds, facilities, equipment, volunteers, staff support, etc., available.
  • Submits a cost analysis of special events prior to implementation and after each event.
  • Continuously evaluates the effectiveness of ongoing activities and coordinates events with Marketing/Commercial Sponsorship, and supervisor.

Equipment Manager NF-03 (Full-Time) - Carlisle Barrack Golf Course

  • Incumbent reports to the Golf Course Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent and oversees a comprehensive preventive maintenance program.
  • The program includes the repair of failing equipment, keeping records of parts and labor needed to maintain each piece of equipment.
  • Prioritizes equipment repair and maintenance work.
  • Maintains a preventive maintenance program within budget and on all equipment, and purchases repair parts and replacement supplies. Properly communicates any needs or problems related to the maintenance or repair of equipment to supervisor.
  • Orders materials, supplies, tools, and equipment, and assures that all tools, vehicles, and equipment is operational and in safe working condition.

  • Operates a variety of kitchen equipment using gas, electricity, steam or microwave heat sources. Skill in performing basic mathematical computations to multiply ingredients in a recipe or to determine how many servings a container will hold.
  • Basic knowledge of food preparation methods and procedures. Skill to cook a limited variety of prepared foods or short order foods.
  • Ability to read and understand written food service material, such as food labels, standardized recipes, and basic work instructions.

Supervisory Food Services Specialist NF-03 (Part-Time)

  • Works as a direct assistant under the executive chef.
  • Prepares and cooks food and know all styles of cooking performed in the kitchen. Ensures the food is prepared to quality standards and that staff are mindful of the cost standards associated with the food preparation.
  • Ensures that the kitchen is up to safety standards, and that staff are obeying health and sanitation policies and requirements.
  • Works quickly and re actively and instructs other staff as necessary based on operations and requirements. Offers suggestions or creative ideas that improve upon the kitchen’s overall quality and financial performance.

  • Identifies improperly functioning parts for repair or replacement using on-board computer diagnostic systems and other test equipment.
  • Determine whether parts should be cleaned or replaced. Install, adjust and set automotive systems in accordance with manufacturer's specifications and tests the completed product.
  • Knowledge of the various techniques for removing, replacing, cleaning and installing parts and components. Skill to make adjustments and settings and in the operation of tools and equipment used.
  • Understanding of diagnostic and test equipment; the make-up and operation of systems and their interrelationship.
  • Decides on the methods and techniques to use. Supervisor is available for assistance with unusual problems. Work is reviewed in terms of results obtained.

Recreation Assistant (Outdoor) NF-02 (Flex) - Outdoor Recreation

  • Works under general supervision of the Outdoor Recreation Manager or Recreation Specialist as a Recreation Assistant.
  • Incumbent is responsible for group management. The safety of the participants must always be the number one priority.
  • Must be familiar with all programs offered by Outdoor Recreation, as well as be familiar with local area as the position requires providing information to customers.
  • Reports any problems to the Outdoor Recreation Manager or Recreation Specialist as soon as possible in order to maintain a high-quality service to guests.
  • Instructing groups and individuals in a variety of outdoor recreation programs, such as but not limited to rafting, rock climbing, kayaking, hiking, mountain biking, challenge course, using a variety of teaching methods to effectively communicate.

  • Plans, coordinates, and conducts activities for program participants based on observed needs of individual children and youth. Prepares and implements program options for children and youth with special requirements.
  • Instructs team members in specific tasks and job techniques; makes available written instructions, reference materials, and supplies. Explains program guidance, procedures, policies, and directives to team members.
  • Uses designated evaluation materials to ensure assigned area is in compliance with, Dept of Defense (DoD), and local installation standards. Ensures assigned area maintains standards for DoD certification and national accreditation or equivalent.
